to be honest mate, i just drive it on to 2 decent sized planks say 2/3" thick & crawl under, is pretty accesible without sticking it on axle stands IMO

Cool

It's easy:
Trolly jack on the engine cross member, runs front to back from the front cross member on the car body shell back. Put the pan of the jack on the area with the bolts by the sump pan.
Jack the car up as high as you (it) can go.
Place an axle stand under each sill about 100mm behind where a mud flap would be mounted on the front wheel arch, and g-e-n-t-l-y-lower the car down onto the stands and remove the jack. Away you go.
On the rear jack under the actual diff itself etc.
Graham.

If you're talking about an engine oil change, there's no need to take the car off the floor. You should be able to undo the sump plug and remove the filter simply by reaching under the front of the car.
