Hello. I'm thinking about buying an STi, but I don't really want to drive on public roads with a big rear spoiler. I was thinking of keeping the STi spoiler for track days and retrofitting a normal Impreza WRX spoiler for public driving. Is this legal? Will the STi boltholes fit a WRX spoiler?

thanks
Tony

answer to all your questions is yes.

although the sti5 spoiler i've heard doesn't actually create anymore downforce than usual. so it's proberbly not worth bothering swapping it for a trackday.

my sti5 has a wrx spoiler on it... confuses lots of people LOL

The Sti spoiler does have more bolt holes than the standard low wing, so you will have to blank some of them off once you check which ones are not used.
if you check with your local dealers, they may have some "low spoilers" in stock which some customers have had changed for the taller ones, so you could even pick one up the right colour and make a mega saving.
