vibration through clutch pedal?
#1
Does anyone have this problem.
Just had B+B clutch kit fitted and flywheel skimmed on my MY95wrx and get a vibration through the pedal - most noticably on light depression on the clutch pedal and the vibration get worse on increasing the engine revs.
to all experts - will the clutch bed in or should i be worried.

Sounds more like a feedback through the pedal from the clutch release thrust bearing. I had a similar thing with mine after a new clutch but it went away after a bit of mileage. Maybe the bearing just settles down after a while. It should be new of course as it comes with the clutch.

Thought you would only get "feedback" with a cable clutch as a hydraulic unit should "dampen" out any harshness?
Are you sure it is not eminating from the pedal pivot bushes instead?

Sorry for the late reply Mal26, You can still get vibration on the pedal with a hydraulically actuated clutch, I have experienced it before on other makes of car too. The vibration can still transmit back, it is more of a sensation in the foot than actual movement.
It took maybe 2-3000 miles to settle Mal26, it suddenly disappeared almost without me realising it. Some people have found that by removing the intercooler and the rubber grommet by the clutch arm on the box, it is possible to squirt some oil or light grease through a thin tube like a WD40 tube into the release bearing and stop the noise. Have to be careful not to overdo it of course. If you do a search you may find it.
Edited to say, look at Sonic's thread a little lower down. "Clutch release bearings"
