P1 Idle Eratic when cold

Hi
I have noticed that when i start my car in the mornings,It fires up o.k but the revs fluctuate between 500 and 900 rpm for about 20 seconds before moving to about 1000rpm.The other thing I noticed was when i drive up to the top of the road and put my foot on the clutch the revs go straite down to 500 rpm or lower and then back to 1000rpm.I have had the car for 3 years.The car used to idle around 1100rpm when cold and not drop below this until warm.I asked my dealer who said this is normal?
Is it normal?

Don't think it's normal!
Since it's a MY99/00 car, I'd suggest getting the MAF sensor looked at.
Maybe someone local to you has Deltadash and can have a look?
