Brought car from new did not use any oil up to 1000 oil change, over the 4000 only checked once may be twice but never noticed if it used any. Then i had up grade done but never checked it untill today having done another 1000 miles, it is empty just showing on dip stick, do not drive it has hard since the upgrade cause i think you change gear sooner so am a bit concerned, any idears, also what the hell do i put ? so much to choose from.

My 02 STI did the same thing - till the engine siezed - only joking! I think it is quite normal for it to use very little oil when new an thenquite a bit of oil when it loosens up a bit.

If you read reports of the new EVO,s when they are on test they use considerably more than a scooby.

Just keep a check on it every weekend and you will find that the consumption will drop off to nothing

Keeping a close eye on it! How many miles do they take to bed in properly?
