Diff drain plug socket size????

Isn't it a 1/2" square (i.e same as the ratchet driver)? Or am I getting mixed up with the level/filler hole?

btw 1/2" = 13mm so near enough

Question

Hello!

Going to do some work on the bairn the morrow and i need to know what size of key do i need to remove the diff oil drain/filler plug?? Is it a 14mm?

Also, any advice on cleaning the MAF and the idle speed control valve would be appreciated (MY97 EG20 TBO).

yep just put your ratchet into it to undo. undo the lower one to drain, and the one above to get the fill level.

be warned though these can take some shifting as they are a taper plug.

Cheers guys, discoverd that the 1/2" drive fits straight in the holes in the plugs earlier today. Thought i was gona have to get some special socket or something.
