Depends on what year it is. I think the MY99/00 MAF element is removebale, but Im told MY98 isnt? Is is the same part as an STi from a dealer?
Has 4 screws on it, so looks like the element comes out to me.

I might have to buy one or the other for a 98 STi, at some point soon. Anyone know where to get one?
Rang a couple of places and the prices for a MAF ranged from £90 to £420 Last MAF I had on MY99 was only £90 from PE.
Lambda was the smae variation too somethings not right...
Advice please

Not 100% but dont think the MAF comes out on that model. Had a similar problem myself with my Type-R V3. Dependent on who you speak to you get different advice. Mine had to be bought as a full unit.
You can pick up a 2nd hand one, but I would defo not advise that as you are buyng something that you dont know if it is 100% or not, if not 100% by the time you have found out it could be too late!!!
I spoke to a few suppliers regarding new ones and their prices ranged from £200+ - £350 + VAT. That scared the $hit out of me!!
If your car has the hot wire MAF then you can supposedly clean them (very very gently) as they are seen a more robust. Once again though this is at the owners risk and will not necessarily fix the problem.
With regards to the O2 sensor you shouldnt have to pay more than £120 from a dealer, butI remember seeing on here someone paying around the £88 mark (cant remember who though)
Good luck mate coz this caused me grief for ages.
Sorry if the above is of no help!!
