I'm picking up an STI V on Thursday. I've been assured by Power Enginerring that it's safe to run it on Optimax without booster. But as I've seen people on here mention sometimes they get dodgy tank of fuel, I was thinking of fitting a knocklink and keeping booster in the boot. If the link told me I was getting detonation I could throttle back and whack in some booster until filling up again with optimax.
Can anyone recommend a knocklink and where to get it from?
cheers Cal

Agree with your thinking, its a good idea to have a Knocklink fitted. Link make the device you are talking about and they are only available through BRD, i stand to be corrected on that though.

definate must have IMHO. Just got back from BRD in richmond where i bought mine, Branko is the guy to see. £150. Not much to look at but hopefully will ease the paranoia of thinking the engines gonna blow everytime you nail it.
Gonna have a bash at fitting it this weekend so appriciate any advice on pos of sens/hints and tips/where to pass the wires through to engine bay. Also, which terminal on to connect the black earth wire to on the sensor??
Cheers guys.
