Question

want a service soon,
but
after the well lane RR day back in Feb, i get told i was peekin 12psi but leveled at 9psi!!! ?????

Why, can i check it myself what it is that causing it?

they said there that its either the actuator or the Dump valve!!

i've had a nu bailey D/V fitted. so thats ok.

will a 15k service pick up on this lack of boost??
could it be the actuator?
will they see that the cars not running right cus of this!?

if i need a new actuator, would i be better to have the Subaru one fitted at the main dealer when its seviced or should i get a 'better' after market replacment one?
Which one? who does them?

Clogged wastegate solenoid perhaps?

Phil,

Could be a number of problems, actuator, electronics, piping etc.

15k service doesn't include any work that will pick up low boost level.

Your best bet by far is to have your car serviced at TSL and let them sort it for you. Have a word with Trouser!!!!
TSL are a fully authorised Subaru service center, they will stamp your sevice book and give a fully detailed invoice. You can even take new cars to TSL and it doesn't effect the warranty. Mikey even takes his there.

As standard the actuator normally would only allow 6/7psi without boost control by the ecu, as yours is running above that its not an actuator issue but will be associated with the boost control system. Possible clogged pipework could cause this.

Actuator is easy to check with the right tool (small hand pump and accurate pressure guage)
