HEATER PROBLEMS
#1
The heater on my 97 turbo blows out hot air all the time even when it is on the cold setting and due to the brilliant weather we always get in good old blighty means i'm boiling hot all the time (joke).
Has anyone else had a problem of this kind before? and how can it be fixed and at what price? Any help at all would be appreciated.

Green Scoob...
I'm getting the same on MY 95 WRX, it only puts out cold air if the heat control is set to the absolute minimum.
I'll ask at the garage when I'm next in, sounds like a temp sensor prob ??

Been doing a bit of searching on this and I'm gonna check my Coolant level, you know the pipe behind the nearside headlight. This pipe always appears to be empty when I look at it and I've been assured that it should be at least to the level which is about and inch from the elbow at the bottom..
Will keep you posted...

Phoned up the SCOOBY dealer today to find out whats what with the heater control and was told it was a loose cable in the passenger footwell that someone has probably caught with their foot. They were right and it is a piece of p**s to fix.
All you do is look in the passenger footwell were the transmission tunnel is and you should see a loose cable with a hoop on the end. There will be a white plastic heater adjuster nearby that opens and closes the hot and cold vents. All you now do is attach the cable to the adjuster and position the cable in the cable holder so it is secure so when you put the heater on hot or cold the cable does not fall out ,simple.
I hope this is of help to you all and your heater problems are as easy to fix as mine was.
