Running in process??
#1
Some of my ex bike racing pals swear by running a motor in reasonably "hard", i.e. steady for first couple of hundred miles but then build up to a reasonable level of fast acceleration without going silly or doing prolonged hard drives. They say it case hardens the components with the tolerances a little looser thereby making the engine more free revving.
I've always been a bit dubious about this and have taken it pretty easy giving the motor the odd burst and avoiding labouring and long steady motorway drives, i.e. preferably lots of journeys rather than a few long ones (lets engine heat up and cool down more times) and on A roads where the speed varies alot.
Anyone got an opinion on what is best for scoobs??
