I wanna get a new exhaust system for the car(UK-MY99-Turbo).
From turbo back, all cats removed etc.
Thing is I don't want too much NoIsE.......A good deep rumble, but not a drone at speeds etc.

I see I can get a whole turbo back system for less than £425.(all in) brand new...
MONGOOSE, MAGNEX, the like..

I am thinking about the MONGOOSE.

Any thoughts???

The Mongoose can be a bit loud and raspy at speed.
Why not the Revolution system for £470. I have spoken to a few people who have had this fitted and they've all rated this. Getting one fitted to my Type R next week.

Thanks, I just been trying searching this topic and it does seem the Mongoose is quite loud, which is not what I want.

How loud is the HIPER(HKS), I love the Nur Spec(BLITZ) on my Supra, is there one of these for the Impreza?

I guess I'll have to up the stakes in price probably, it's just that(no offence) I find it silly to pay 250+ on a 'downpipe' alone from some of the manufactures.(70% of a whole system elsewhere)
You can get another for less than 1/2 that(250) that is built just the same....the basic principle is to elimate the cat.

Any more suggessions appreciated........

I have a TSL Group N system on my 99 turbo, sounds great, but not over the top. The "Dugga Dugga" sound is tops.
I do around 25k miles a year with lots on the motorway, sound is not intrusive at all.

I have the blitz nur spec r on mine, IMO the best out there, but very loud rumble!!!! It does come with a silencing bung aswell which does make it quiet!!

 

Had the HKS Hiper on MY93 WRX - very very loud - drove around with the bung in most of the time. Just too loud for my old ears
