Can anyone tell me whats involved in fitting the bonnet, grille and front bumber from an MY99 style car onto an MY93 WRX.

Do the bonnet and bumper fit straight on?. Do the headlamps need changing or will the new style grille fit OK?.

I fancy a new look, and the sharper lines of the later models suits.

Furthermore, if anyone has got, or knows where to get these bits from, Id love to know.

Hi Richie,

You will need the bonnet, headlights, grille and front bumper to get the my99 look. Unfortunatly for yourself the grille and bonnet changed so much from the early models that the headlights were reshaped to. I am pretty sure, however, that the grille badge is compatible with all models!

Thanks M8 I thought that would be the case. Rather fancy a change at the front and a private plate will have people scratching heads!

Guys, similar request here (sorry about the hijack!)

My MY94 WRX front end has gone (totally!) so could I get a rebuild using bumper, wings, bonnet, grille & lights (yes, the lot)? Would these fit on the existing subframe? Are the fittings the same? Direct email really welcome, cos its urgent!

OK. I got a straight answer now. Provided your MY93 is similar to my MY94 (it should be!) then I have it from good authority (you know who you are!) that it WILL fit. As I trashed my front end, I am having a MY99 complete front kit (lights, grille, bumper, ali bonnet) fitted. The existing intercooler scoop is required, but as long as EVERYTHING is replaced you will be OK.
BTW, GGR do the MY99 UK-type bonnets in aluminium! No waiting for importing.

Thanks Pilch. Where is a good place to get the bits and what sort of cost?

Also whats the score with the existing bonnet scoop, I was wanting the new style one.
