I've done the searching on the exiting AFR threads and now just want some confirmation b4 I go at my ECU with a stanley knife & soldering iron.
Car is a MY99 STi V. Am I right in thinking that the Lambda sensor O2 output is connector B136, pin 21 on the ECU?

If it's the same as mine (MY00), then yes. It's the blue plug, third row down, third wire in from the right. It's white, with silver specks (but it's eyesight's fine sorry, get me coat...)

Regards,

Ade.

Nick,

You might find it easier if you strip the insulation off leaving the actual wire still intact and then solder to that..

It is a little fiddly in the foot well and I found that the easiest with mine.

Like I said on the email, unfortunatly my old car has different wiring so cannot help with the actual question.

Cheers

Simon

I found it easier on mine to splice into the cable near the plug connecter for the lamda sensor in the engine bay.

Quicksprint

That was my first idea, but the question is, which of the 3 wires (the colours of which currently escape me) do I tap into???

I was under the impression it was better to tap into the wire at the ECU end, rather than the engine bay. Can't remember why though...

Yes I remember being told it is better at ECU but no idea why..

No engine temps and rubbish to effect your connection..?
