ecoteck how many plugs for 99 uk car

hi all
i know the subject sucks !!!
im changing to an apexi uce from an ecotec tec2 ecu
they asked me to check how many plugs the ecu had as my car was on the change uk 99
now my tec 2 ecu has 3 plugs in the ecu
but !!!!
therer is another plug taped to the harnes !!!!
so thats 4 plug is it not !!
i think
er!!
could it not be used by the ecotec or just spair????
diagnostic or somthing
or do i need the 4 plug ecu or the 3 plug ecu
has anyone came across this prev
some one out there will know

Careful. EcuTek do engine remapping, ECU's and whatever. Ecotek make a gadget that is supposed to increase your fuel economy!
If you have an MY99 car (AE800/801/802 ECU), you have a three plug setup.

so were can i find them codes from
model no: gc8gk8d
e type :ej2005nw1kd
like i said the3 tec2 had 3 plugs in and 1 taped up
any ideas

If the Applied Model code starts GC8G, you have an MY00. MY99's are GC8F
Thus, it should have had an AE802 ECU to start with, but either way, it's a "three plug" setup.

the car ia a s reg 99 car
the codes i gave came from the vin plate of the car how can it have 00 code when its s reg 99 then ????
any idea what the extra plug is for then
must be there for some reson
