Whilst driving my Impreza turbo (97 spec) I noticed at certain speeds a noise which sounded like road noise. On submitting my car to a Subaru dealer for a service I mentioned this noise to them. They informed be that the noise was due to air passing over the turbo inlet valve (a bit like blowing over the top of a bottle). It was suggested that the turbo inlet valve be replace, but they could not be sure that this would cure the noise. Any suggestions? If anyone else has had this problem did changing the inlet valve rtesolve it?
