I have seen the adverts from Scoobysport stating that with their exhaust system, presumably this is a full decat, and their chip or remap it is possible to get 340 bhp from an 01 onwards STI for about £ 750.00, no torque figures are mentioned though.

Is this a TEK3 remap or something similar.

I am reluctant to spend money on something that may not be safe, as no doubt we all are, as I have already had an engine go on me. I currently have a TurboXS boost control fitted and an HKS Hyper back box, it is an 02 STI UK, but am getting more worried about it going bang again as the ECU does not have full control over everything and I am getting to think that the set up I have is perhaps a bit crude.

I would appreciate anybodys comments on this or better still from anyone who has had the scoobysport upgrade.

Yes this is a TEK3 remap in conjunction with there janspeed pipes, I think you will find that its perfectly safe, all the mappers map within a good safety margin, i am having mine done this saturday with BRD as part of a groupbuy that i organised.
