Had my Scooby for a month or so now (UK 4Dr).
Dealer fitted new set of tyres before collection - lovely thought I. However boots in question turned out to be the above mentioned variety (Continental SportContact on 16inch wheels).

The standard fittment on this BB would appear to be Bridgestone Potenza`s S02`s. Can anyone comment on relative feel / grip / balance?

A couple of times now I`ve had understeer. Once entering and turning in-to a roundabout coming off a slip road in the rain. As much my fault - greasy road, didnt get enough weight over the front wheels - but still surprizing.

However get it right and it would appear that neutral turn-in leading to neutral/oversteer (slightly) exit under power. Excellent stuff .
Would an SO2 upgrade cure some of the understeering tendancies?

Read about the prodrive geometry changes but do alot of M-way miles (circa 300 perweek) and would therefore suffer premature rubber loss (bald inside fronts!). However may go for S02 and a mid-way set-up between prodrive and std.

Any comments?

My car came secondhand with P-Zeroes on the front and ContiSportContacts on the rear.

Absolutely bloody lethal.

Oversteer in the wet was terrible. Was too frightened to push it except in the dry. After a few months I replaced all four tyres with S-02s. Thank god I did. Now I love the car. Understeer yes; oversteer only when I want to (and I have to try). Nice and safe.
