Fitting a Boost Controller? (manual)

Question

Just want to check that I understand this right.

1-Boost controller is to be fitted between the pressure source (compressor nozel) and the actuator.

2-Then the feed from the solenoid to the wastegate is blanked off instead of t-piecing into the feed in step 1?

Thus the boost controller regulates boost instead of the solenoid/ecu......

Does that sound right?

Yep, also 3-port. Third hose is going from standard boost solenoid to the resonator box and it stays as it is.
