I've had my MY99 for 500 miles and I have found that when initially depressing the clutch pedal there is a slight amount of slack to take up followed by a clunking feeling through the pedal. I don't believe that it is an audible clunk, but it feels wrong. I certainly don't recall this on the test car I drove. Has anyone else experienced this?

The drivers mat (presuming you have one) can slip forward and cause the clutch pedal to stick slightly.

If this isn't the cause then try a bit of WD40 on the pedal mechanism.

If still no joy get your dealer to adjust it (for free).

Hope that helps

Andrew
