Does anyone know anything about these tyres - they are unidirectional with a 'v' tread across the full width of the tyre - and my '93WRX came across with 205/55VR15s on. They are great in the dry, and OK in the wet, but I was wondering how they compare to other Bridgestones, and if they are 'good' where I might be able to source them in the UK (and at what price - they don't look cheap).

Just as importantly, they look pretty horny too.
Thanks one and all,
Zip

I think TERZO is trying a set of them, find him on the BB and email him
I think the G Grid tyre is the Japanese version of the SO2 But I don't know if it uses the same tread compound.
The SO2 is one of the very best tyres as sold in UK. Check to see if the tread patterns are the same.

G-Grid tyres are designed for sale in the Japanese market only. They do not carry the required E-marking for sale in Europe. You cannot legally purchase or sell these tyres in Europe.

You should only see G-Grid tyres on private import vehicles. Its OK to use the tyres if they are on the vehicle when imported into the country. Obviously the problem comes when you need to replace either one or two tyres, original 15" tyres should be RE71 LEZ spec, and shouldnt really be mixed.

Hope this is of help.

I've got them on my M-reg WRX too, not had the chance to try them in the wet yet but they seem fairly good in the dry. Glad someone else has got them I was wondering if I had unusual tyres!

No worries about probs getting hold of them as the car came with whole set brand new (bargain!). I'm intending to get some gold 16" wheels when they're knackered anyway.

Terzo certainly has a set of G-Grids. 215/45 17". He bought them from me complete with ST2 wheels. I seem to recall his first impressions were favourable.
