Ragos, The RB5 does not have the V5 wing, it is one Prodrive have developed themselves, and is only on the RB5 if fitted with the Prodrive performance pack. The standard RB5 has the standard 99MY high wing.

Chris;
I believe that this is the same wing that Prima Racing sell, which I have got. It will take a lot of work to get the ing to look great on your car, as it has many pit holes all over (although a healthy helping of knifing putty/body filler will help this. Also, when priming it be sure to get filler primer (as this has got some filler already in it) - it is bright yellow in colour. Once this work has been don (and done well), the spoiler will look excellent on your car

If you are thinking of this style wing my recommendation would be to go for Scoobysport's carbon fibre one. I spent last RAC following one on a silver type R in convoy and it looked fabulous.

I have also driven a 22B whose wing wobbles (slightly) at speeds over 80mph - I don't believe the Scoobysport one does.

Finally the aerodynamics of the Scoobysport one means that water just streams down the back screen rather that congregating half way down as it does with the MY99 / STi4 spoiler - stops having to drive with the rear wiper on.

Good work Pete (and if you give 'bonuses' for recommendations mine is a fully painted rear spoiler in silver).

There are some pics of my car with the Scoobysport rear wing:
http://www.iwoc.freeserve.co.uk/iwoclust.html
- go to the Northampton meet at the bottom of the page. I kept the carbon fibre piece in black and had the base and sides painted silver. I looked at all the other wings available but they needed too much work to be fitted to the Impreza. I think the people near Southampton (Regal?) wanted the car for about two days for fitting!

thanks guy's for the wise words. I've seen the picture with the wing half painted and half carbon,it looks great,good contrast with the car's colour.Unpainted carbon looks superb .I'll go for the one from scoobysport .

The Prodrive spoiler is by far the most attractive version yet! Can't wait to see it on my Silver 99MY in July

I have one of their WRC wings on my MY98 saloon, OK it needs some work on the glass fibre to get a good finish, and a little work on the holes on the boot, it also wobbles a bit and does bend down the faster you go, although I've not been faster than 100mph, whether it will stand up to 150 mph i'll let you know, but it does look good and its cheaper than scooby sport, but I suppose you get what you pay for

Just going back to TonyFlow's words earlier - I've just had a Prima front spoiler fitted (basically slips over the top of the OE one). When I opened the packet I thought that a monkey had moulded it (are they still doing the Youth Opportunity/work experience thing in some garages??!!) - full of uneven surfaces, pits,uneven edges etc. Took my fitter a day just to rub the damned thing down and to shape it to fit the bloody car! 2 days for spraying/fitting but I must say after all that it looks the dog's and only costs 165 quid. Oh, by the way, I went against the advice of the gimp at Prima who told me to fit it on with self-tappers; my fitter used bonding resin which is rock solid and means that if I wreck the spoiler I'll need a new SS front bumper! Oh the trials + tribulations....
