ok .. just got the low down on a SNOOPER SD815I radar detectors.

Any advice from anyone ??

My friend drove my 99my the other lunchtime in Hertfordshire and got done my an unmarked blue 3 series bmw P67RBM.

So it was off to the mags for a laser/radar detector.....

There is a recent thread on radar detectors in the General Notices section. Judging by the comments it looks like the Bel855STi is the current favourite.

A radar detector will do nothing against an unmarked car, except get Mr Plods back up when he sees it. Use your optical equipment more thoroughly to detect unmarked - 'unmarked' just means there's no big 'police' stickers on the side, but there are plenty of other markings to look for.

So from now on in Hertfordshire you are going to slow down and check every 3 series BMW???

I think not !!!!

The in-car video cameras use LASER to bounce off of your car.

This is detectable .....

Ill have a check in general topics...
