Annoying seatbelt warning buzzer disconnected!

Found the seatbelt warning buzzer on my WRX 03 really annoying when you hop in to move your car around a car park etc. My wifes honda civic just flashes the red light on the dash. Found it under the dash just above the acellerator pedal - a cream box. 1 nut to remove - easily opens up - I desoldered the piezo off the circuit board and put the box back now just the red seatbelt sign comes on - bliss! There may be a better way to do this by disconnecting the wire but i didnt know which one and this way the warning light still works. They must be taking a leaf out of super safe Saabs book ready for the Impreza based 9-2!!
