Just fitted the blue LEDs to my MY99 - absolute ball-ache by the way - and its dimmer that an Impreza sport owner! What’s the beef? I also had ago at the heater controls - No chance! Instead of fannying changing the lamps, where can you get hold of some blue gel shrouds to replace the green ones (just like half a gelatine capsule).

Cheers,

the Gel shrouds & blue bulbs (not led ones) do not work
I have tried this method, and the reason it doesnt work is that the blue isnt bright enough to penetrate through the green film that is on

Yes the Blue LED's are slightly dimmer than the normal 'green' dash, but is there not a resistor that can be changed to make the blue bulbs a bit brighter

You used to have to do a similar thing on the Nokia Phones when changing to blue leds, you had to change the resistor too, so they where as bright as the green LED's

I'll try changing the resistors on the LEDs, The heater control lamps do use green shrouds - so changing these will work - Can you mind where you sourced yours form? I take it the green film can't be removed from the clocks without damaging them then?

I got mine from BoxerFlat4, aka Paul from Gecko Motorsport

You could try a small piece of Blue Film over the clock, this should work, I havent tried this way yet
