Friend of mine has a 1994 WRX and has the opportunity to get an STI Version 4 (280bhp)ECU. Will this go in as a direct replacement? How much difference will it make? Will anything need doing once fitted? Thanx

Thanx for that. Probably saved him a few quid!

Unhappy

Sorry to say but an STI ecu wont work in a wrx. (different crank sensor, injectors and a few other bits that have been changed in the engine/wiring loom).
Your best bet is actually an MY95/6 ecu which will go in as a direct replacement

Tony
