Thumbs up

Knowlsey,
your right, very easy, we used scotch clips™ for ease of installation and it was a doddle
hardest part was deciding where to fit it in the car,lol
still not sure but its down by the ashtray(99).

scariest bit is pulling the front off the centre console

Other than that it's very easy tbh.

Everyone seems to fit theirs about the centre console but I fitted mine to the top right hand corner of the windscreen, Easy to see and easier to run the wiring loom.

I put instructions on my website

I fitted a few other gauges at the same time, so some info is irrelevant. Basically you need a M8x30mm bolt for the new sensor, then run the wires into the cabin and find a good ground point and a 12v ignition supply for power (I used the cigarette lighter).

Stripping the intercooler and the dash was the hardest bit.

I ffited mine to the left of the steering wheel.

I've turned it 90 degrees to line all the LED's along the top to get a better view through the steering wheel.

Cool

I'm actually going to re-locate the LEDs on mine into a 270 degree (i.e. 3/4 of a circle) blank fitted to a 2 pod A-pillar gauge mount. I've mounted an AFR next to this and the boost gauge to the lower position. I'll put some pictures up when its Done

Actually I was thinking about taking mine apart and mounting the LEDs into my centre dash pod (for gauges).

Sorry was searching through some old posts for info on knocklinks... did you ever do this conversion into a gauge rather than the box?

Cheers

Thanks mark, looks great.

Did the box contain many parts that you had to move?

I unsoldered the LEDS and then connected a cable to common up the +ve side (!!!!!!!!!!) NOTE THAT THE +ve is COMMON. I then connected wires to each of the -ve leg positions on the PCB- I used a network cable for this (Cat 5).

I then ran this up under the dash (which is where the box is) and into the pod mount. I connected it to the LEDs that you can see, (maplin) and mounted them in an empty cable drum (had a diameter that matched the gauge hole exactly)...

Hope this helps.
