Hi!

Here I am again with my legacy 2,0GT (MY92)... Now I'm really annoyed with this... Yesterday I found blocked lower hose on boost solenoid and for a day everything worked well. Now as I was drivng back home from work the sam thing happened again just this time it is 0,5 bar instead of 0,4!?

At home I disconected the battery for 2 hours and "voila" it worked again!

I'm really puzzled with this as I don't know how should we trace the fault, obviously it is somwhere between the ECU and boost solenoid. That means somwhere on ECU sensors or god knows where.... really mad!

Could anyone please help me with that? Has anybody experienced something like that?

Thanks for all your help!

Kristijan

Im having the same problem with my MY97 Impreza WRX. Was planning on trying to change the rack of solinoids on the left hand side of the engine bay to try and solve the problem. When I do this do I have to leave the battry dissconected for 2 hours to reset the ECU??

As far as I know you don't have to disconect the battery for 2hrs.

I'm curious; have you traced the problem to any special valve or are you just going to change everything!? I wouldn't do that as there is no guarantee the car will work as it should!

I can change everything and I still wouldn't know why this is happening.

I gues I could try changing each solinoid individualy, then I could find out which one is causing the problem. Im freindly with a breakers so should be able to borrow the parts.

Just read on enougher post BOOST PROBLEMS, about reading and resetting the fault codes gues I could check this first.
