Was playing in the garage on Sat (fitting my Magnex BB and decat centre) and noticed for the first time that the front wings appear to be made of plastic:0
Is this right or is there (gulp) a more sinister explanation?

Don't know what you've got there chap. The standard wings are made of metal, and the Type R/RA ones are made of paper...

Wish they were plastic. I was trying to take my near side front wheel off last week, the wrench slipped and I made a dent the size of a grapefruit with my elbow.

Invest in a magnet and check for yourself. The magnet is also useful for getting screws etc back after you drop them on the block in awkward spots.
