Pipercross Induction kit, AAARRRGG.
#1
I have been advised by a number of people that these kits and Imprezas don't get on. I was @ Xtreme on Saturday and bought a green filter to swap back to the old air box. On removal of the induction kit pipework I found what can only be descibed as oily mud caking all of the internal pipework to the turbo. This was not there on fitting the kit 3 months ago. It appears that the induction kit filter is about as much use as a tea strainer for removing particles of dust from the air entering the engine. Luckily my MAF is OK, but if you have one of these, check it out, as it could cost you a lot to put right.

Yes I know. Just a case of "Ooh yes, your car will be much better after fitting this kit sir, I'll even fit it for you". By a well known Scooby tuning garage. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!
I will happily now fit this induction kit up your axse so as to filter out the sxxt that comes from your mouth.
Lesson, on my behalf, learnt.
