Thought I had scraped the exhaust but could it have been the oil sump?

s69, you may well have unsettled the sump plug or sump pan or even put a hole in it. wipe all the oil away, lay a newspaper underneath wait for the drip and follow it back.

Thanks - bit tricky as its in a multi storey at the moment - taking it to GDA at 11

Whats the verdict Chris ? Did GDA find anything ?

P.S no sign of any oil on my drive

No oil under the car when I took it to GDA, however the guy there said he could see a leak just above the oil filter so I've left it with him to have that sorted and the cam belts and a service done. Not sure what could damaged - he mentioned the oil cooler but said it wasnt very expensive (strange as the oil cooler on my Saab cost me £400!)

Oh well will have to use the ZX7 over the weekend
