Has anyone fitted a K&N? I just have to a 1994 WRX, is sounds like I have fitted a dump valve to it, I now feel like an Escort RS Turbo driver (not good). Have I done something wrong, when I drop off the throttle after a heavy right foot, it dumps a ton of air out. Should it be like this, if it should I'm changung it back to the old filter. Thanks in advance for any advice. The filter is part number 57-0319.

 

it happens to them all as you replace the airbox with a induction kit u lose all the sound deadening if u like therefore u here the dumpvalve releasing

 

I had the exact same noise when i fitted a KN induction kit to my MY99.Got on my nerves that much i changed it back to a sports panel filter now have brand new K&N induction kit sitting in garage.Sounds like Darth Vader.LET THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.

 

I have a 1993 WRX. I might buy it off you (for the right price) if you decide not to keep it
