It's the brake warning light, check your fluid and brake pads.

... also try disengaging your hand-brake. Driving around with your hand-brake on is very bird-like...!!! Sorry, couldn't resist...!

when your brake fluid runs low...
the e-brake/brake dash light will come on intermittently while driving... cornering/etc. the fluid level drops and the light flashes on... indicating the fluid level is too low.

i'd check this first,
as well as the pad level....

good luck

The brakes do not have sensors, the fluid reservoir has.
As the pads wear the fluid level drops and the light is illuminated, however... the float which is part of the switch can also get stuck.

As said.. Check your fluid level.
