Question

Can the fuel pump on MY99 UK Scoob be replaced from inside the car or does the tank have to be dropped?

Cheers

It's actually on the drivers side inthe boot but you need to take the seat out for access.

there is an oval cover with screws. Remove this and you should see the top of the pump.

Unbolt/ remove the pump!!!

Refitting is the reverse of removal

Make sure you leave it over night so the pressure in the lines reduces other wise fuel everywhere

Very easy to replace. Do a search, there is a fitting guide here somewhere.

If you fit a Walbro, is it essential to have a pressure regulator as well. If you don't is the fuelling badly affected?

unplug the pump first, then start the car, when the car stalls theres no petrol left in the pipes and fitting an afr meter is a good idea before playing with fuelling in any way

I changed mine in my MY00 in about an hour, taking my time.
There was no need to remove the seat, and yes the pump is on the drivers side under a circular plate. The tip about allowing the fuel pressure to drop overnight is a good one, I didnt and got a nasty petrol shower for my trouble!
