I have MY02 saloon with 17" wheels. I started to get bad wear on the outer tread and i was advised to go from 30 psi to 33 psi and this has worked a treat. I have kept the back at 30 psi. I know these are essentially different cars but just food for thought

I have a MY00 Wagon with 18" Oz wheels. I run 35 psi front 32 psi rear. When the fronts drop a few pounds I really notice an adverse effect (pressures recommended by TSL).

Depends on what the maximum pressure that is on the tyre, my tyre has a max pressure of 45psi so that is what I run it at.

- This is fun! Do your tyres not wear in the middle first?? I run 28psi front and rear on 15 inchers which seems just about fine...

I've got a standard 00MY and run my rears at 31 warm, and fronts at 35 warm. My nearest "Optimax outlet" is 10 miles from my house, and after a 10 mile boot they obviously read more than they would have if they were cold. The handling's more than adequate though (as far as standard handling goes!). But seeing as I've only had the car a month, dunno about wear...

Thumbs down

Well I feel there ain't no excuses whether it's in NZ$. GBP or feckin Euros but ..... I'll say it once more

45 PSI

Have you any tarmac left on your roads over there....

Apparently you had a small earthquake over there recently but I reckon it was you dropping your car off the jack

On a more serious note.... That's far too high for 17's mate

Yep at times pump the tyres to 80 PSI to get the tyres to bead to the rims.
