Wink

I am thinking about fitting a turbo timer & i believe when you remove keys engine runs on . Can anybody tell me how it affects the cat1 alarm. Can alarm be set while engine is still running or do you have to wait until timer has finished? cos if i still need to be around to set alarm can't see any point in fitting the timer!

Out of the 100's of alarms out there, there are only two makes that i can think of that will support a TT.
The other 98 will not work with a turbo timer. They will immobilise the car when you set it, or they will not arm until teh car cuts out.
Also, one of the alarm brands (which i have) Clifford, will only work with its own TT.

Question

What are the 2 makes then???

Or is Clifford counted as one of them, in which case, what's the other?

I am not 100% sure, but I think having a tubo timer (fitted) invalidates CAT 1 status for insurance purposes.
