James,

If you have am import, then its recommended.
Basically, its a sensor that bolts to your engine block and via a series of LED's, it will inform you of any pre-detonation (pinking, knocking).
This can wreck your engine over time. It's to do with the octane rating of our fuel, compared to what imports are designed to run on.

James,

There is a group buy in the "Interior" section, organised by MONEY. The are £130, if you are quick you can still get in.
The Lambdalink monitors the air/fuel ratio of your exhaust gases and informs you if you are running rich or lean.

I would have to say they are a good purchase for ALL performance cars not just imports. Fuel is one factor but faulty maf's, a bad batch of fuel, very hot weather or carbon fouling etc can cause it on uk cars as well so it's worth considering for any scoob. My fuel pump started playing up a few months ago and thanks to my knocklink I saw the engine det (due to lack of fuel) so backed off before doing any damage to the engine. The fuel pump died a few days later. Without the knocklink I would have just kept my foot down and could have lost my engine as well as the pump - best £130 I have ever spent

You don't have to be in the group buy as you can get all the bits for £118. Have a look here.
