Awesome, thanks m8. Now I just have to figure if my motor and such are a STi or not. Are there any tell tale signs? Here is what I know and have:
Silver intercooler vs black
one piece IC pipe from the turbo
aluminum control arms
the tranny part number is TY752VB3CA
As you can see the serial number on the timing cover is gone, so I'm stuck there.

That engine used to have aircon and it once ran an HKS Super Power Flow induction kit.

I am pretty sure ALL STI engines version 1-6 had Plastic cam pulleys fitted, whereas non STI engines have Metal pulleys.

Tweenierob,

IIRC, the "bakalite" style nylon? camwheels appeared ~1996 (ej20k) and remained from then on. I think the earlier engines (ej20g?) had the metal camwheels. Its certainly not unlikely that the STI versions 1 and 2 would have metal camwheels.

Thanks for the input so far. I have heard the redtops came after the demise of the slanted IC, and also that the UK and AU markets got the plastic cam pulleys and the JDM cars never had the them until the EJ20K. I also took of the AC so I won't have to worry about running new lines.
