My93 wrx check engine light comes on and when you let it idle its as through its missing,but if you leave it idleing for about 20 secs the light goes off an all is well again im getting worried? could it just be a crap plug?

 

Have you tried connecting the diagnostics plugs under the dash? This will tell you what, if any, problems there may be.
