Knock Link Location on MY02

One maybe two lighting up (green), when revs over 5000 and going for it sounds right to me. Thats what i get now with Tek3 and full decat. When i was running just the decat i had no movement at all on the knocklink, just the slight glow you mention on the bottom green.
Check above link for pics. of sensor location.

Mine is fitted on the block, as per the photos .... but mine is MY00 so was easy to work from those pics. The location of the sensor in those pics is under the intercooler (intercooler removed in pics) on the near side.
Sorry i can't help more mate.

Anyone got pics of a knock link sensor fitting location for the MY02 (01+)??
I've fitted mine in a couple of locations under the IC without much results. It's currently plugged in just under the inlet on the inlet manifold...and only one light, maybe two works when giving the car real hard stick, other then that, one light is partly on all the time - that sound okay? Recommend a better location with pics if poss?

Cheers Gary. I've seen those pics before, but I think it's a classic?? The layout for pipes etc is different for mine so hard to tell where that sensor is exactly placed.
I've got the Tek3 too, with uprated pump, 550's, SR40, complete system change including manifold, so I would of thought I'd get more than the 1 slight glow. I have had two green's with really hard booting, but it's not constant.
Is yours on the inlet manifold or on the engine case?

Absolute Shower, the sensor is mounted in the same place doesnt matter what year the car is...move from the starter towards the front of the car and on the crankshaft casing there is a threaded hole which you can use
I can post a picture of one mounted on an '02STI if you want.

Cheers guys...I know where you mean now.
It's fitted on the inlet manifold at the moment (inline with the dump valve, just below), but I still get the same readings...1 dim light, maybe 1 or 2 lights on hard boot, but it's not constant - I know the sensor is working as I've used the spanner test. Would you say the block is a better place to fit?
