Question

Would like the following clarified:-

Car details:-

MY96 UK Wagon
Full decat - Jw racing twin dump pipe d/p
Scoobysport decat centre
Scoobysport Backbox
Jetex panel filter
MY95WRX ecu with scoobyecu custom mapped eprom
HKS EVCIV boost controller
ERL Aquamist Water injection

With boost at 0.8kg/cm2 (11.4psig) got 246lb/ft torque @ 5100rpm and 273hp @ 6600rpm using road dyno with the following parameters:-

Temperature 73 deg F
Humidity 69%
Barometric pressure 29.71In
Elevation 22 M2

Drive axle ratio 3.9
Test gear ratio 1.366(3rd)
Drag Coeff 0.32
Frontal area 2.2M2
Drivetrain loss 25%
Test weight set at 1380kg

Do these figures look about right?

Gonna try a test run using max available boost now.

Cheers

Cheers pavlo, did a high boost run at 1.1kg/cm2 and got:-
1st run 292lb/ft torque @ 4200rpm and 297hp @ 5700rpm
2nd run 299lb/ft torque @ 5000rpm and 308hp @ 5700rpm

These are at the flywheel and the water injection was on.

Cheers

I thought the frontal area was 2.2 and the drag coeff. was 0.35

Not sure where these came from though. In practice, they won't make much difference if you do the test in second gear, provided the figres are the right order of magniture you'll not be going fast enough for them to make a significant difference...

I actually had my car weighed on the 23/6/03 at a local public weighbridge and with a full tank it came out at 1320kg. I then went for another test run, added my weight and got the following results 295lb/ft @ 4200rpm and 297hp @ 5500rpm. On the previous runs posted the fuel was optimax + octane booster but on the above run it was optimax only.
