my p1 has downpipe and center section and back box blitz airfilterand dumpvalve it registers 1.7 of boost this is bad as it might det and blow rings or pistons im told i need to get it remapped with ecutec softwear witch is the best as it retains the oe ecu has anyone had there p1 done with this
could the turbo timer be wrong i am getting the reading from this or was it just the down pipe air filter and dumpvalve i had fitted recently it has hit a sort of rev limiter at 5000 rpm in 4 n5th is this the fuel stop ? i am confused what to do next if it went back to standard exhaust filter would it stop oveerboostihg

Thats definately bad if true but before you even consider a remap there is something clearly wrong somewhere in the boost control dept and it needs sorting out first.

Thumbs up

Drive it very carefully. At 1.7 you are lucky it has stayed together.
I have Tek3 on my P1 (1.35 bar peak), but done by Bob Rawle Developments, not Pete and Pat at Scoobysports. Last time I was at Scoobysports they were only Ecutekking the new model ie blobeye forward, but that was quite a while now, so maybe they have begun doing classics as well now. I'm sure Pete would like to take this opportuniy to clear up any misunderstanding

Thanks for the invite FB We have been doing classics for a while now. I agree with Bob and did say that have to sort the boost problem first.

Damn thats high...UI'm running 1 bar at the moment 305 bhp/270 lbft down at PE. When I had a full decat (scoobysport) I was hitting 1.46 bar, this was also hitting fuel cut. How come your not hitting fuel cut at 1.7....strange ?

Regards

Kev

Fuel cut is at a held boost of 1.35 bar or 19.6 PSI on a P1.

There could be a number of reasons for it overboosting and/or not fuel cutting. Drive on part throttle to not give more than 1 bar until you can get it checked out.
