Ok second post in 10 minutes, what are symptoms of failure (think I've worked out what it stands for). HOW MUCH IS A NEW ONE? Not shouting just worried!

lumpy idle, no boost, det, in my case engine shut down
if it an my99/00 or V5/6 then its part; 22794AA010 METER CP-AIRFLOW. Cost's about £75

 

Plus £1000 for Subaru to fit....

OK so I've only read the first page of this forum and clearly 1 Subaru dealer is worse than another for fixing/ detecting the problem.

WHICH IS THE BEST?
