Did you tilt the intercooler up a bit as well, or was that a natural thing with the altered brackets?
Thinking of doing this as well for my MY96 using a new shape WRX or STI cooler shortly...
Thanks

hi,
the right bracket (non turbo site) is from sti v7, the left (turbo site) is the standard with a "spacer" (don't know the english name but you can see it on the pic) between bracket and intercooler.
put the, grrrr english ;(, "yellow thing" (strut..???) up from intercooler (see pic) because there is not enough place.
AND also use samco tubes, with the standard you go crazy, flexibel to mount the STI intercooler.
hope you know what I mean?!
bye
budy

budy...
Which Samco kit did you use, one for an STi7 or one for MY99/00?
How much bigger is the STi7 intercooler?
Have you altered the underbonnet tray to increase air-flow, and have you got an intercooler air-splitter fitted?
Cheers,
Squizz.

Squizz,
I use the samco kit for standard MY97/98, but the MY99/00 kit also do the job.
"How much bigger is the STi7 intercooler?"
try:

altered yes.
I have self made an airsplitter:
the pics do not work temporary, because the server is down at the moment.

hi guys. well sorry to bring this back up. i have been looking at fitting a sti7 top mount to my own car(my99 uk turbo). on further inspection of the pics supplie by "budy" i noticed that the car used was a left hand drive so the clutch master cylinder sits on the oposite side from a uk model. the uk model will not take the mount due to space restcion caused by the clutch master cylinder.
if anyone can sugest a way of fitting this on as i have the top mount we are talking about. mmmmmm, should i convert it to a front mount?
hope someone can help
