Hello!I got two mods done recently to my 2000AWD Turbo scoob.K&M induction kit + Le Mans Dumpvalve.I got rid of the dumpvave coz it was dumping too much air out even when it wasn't supposed to.Now I have got a prob with the car jolting at high speed in 5th gear(see my other topics).I rang up RC developments today. They say K&M are bad news. They had had many ill scoobs going in for the same fault caused by K&M.It has f**ked the air flow which will cost me(th part itself)178 quid + vat!I feel sick but please,be warned before you put K&M in.It did perform great but caused a fault to other part.

Sounds like you have bought a cheap replica clone of a K&N induction kit, once bought a Roleks watch that was crap too.

K&M? Never heard of 'em. My K&N cost about 90 quid. Sounds like you don't have the real McCoy there, mate!

See here for info on MAF sensor part no.s and prices.

MAFs on MY99/00 cars are notoriously fragile and have failed on many std cars.

Thumbs up

....and that's also under standard filtration

As someone posted on here a while back :

treat your MAF as a consumable and replace almost yearly

I,e ran a K+n for ages with a full decat and have non of the symptoms you mention - sweet as a nut they say...........

Also nearly everybody on here likes the K+N because you tend to get less faults with it as oppose to other induction kits.

I did say nearly there always somebody.
