On my way back from NBO yesterday evening I had the check engine light on three times..When I was driving hard the light stayed off but as soon as I came up behind some traffic and revs where between 1 and 3000 the light would come on and then go off after a short duration. Also when I stopped the idle was @ 500 rpms instead of 750. If I run the diagnostic test on it will that tell me anything..

Plz..plzzz help it was a bit worrying.

Just done a diagnostics on the car and the code return is 22 knock sensor...any ideas

I had the same problem on my my93.Turned out it was just the bolt through the centre of the knock sensor had come loose.You can reach it with a long extension down through the induction manifold.It's on the near side cylinders towards the back of the engine.Reset the ecu afterwards and it should be fine,hopefully.
