Question

Anyone knows where this switch is? I know that this switch governs (switched ON) when the gear is in neutral position but i do not know the exact location of the switch in the car.

Please help.

Sounds like he's talking about the manual box, this has a neutral switch as well which I believe is on the box too. Where exactly I dunno though!

looks like it's on the LH side of the gearbox, towards the rear near the top.

(Based on my rather grubby wiring diagram...)

it is indeed as said.. there is also a reverse switch..

The two wires then connect near to the back left of the top mount intercooler..

just don't go there ! i 've been swapping these and changind washers for spacing as i.m think it could be the cause of 90% of the missfire on certain cylinders error code. it's to tell the ecu when you move away or change gear to sort out the fueling and timing (i think) on the select moniter you can see every time you change gear except for one car i tested it missed 4 gears in a row change the switch and packed out the washer and it saw every gear then

Are these the two plugs next to each other on the passenger side?
One of mine is leaking oil.
There is another plug on the drivers side - I assume that this is the speed sensor?

Talking of causing problems with misfires etc, could a faulty neutral switch cause uneven idle problems
