Still on the learning curve on how ECU's control engines.

I assume that the AFR on the Scoob is determined by the ecu by inputs from the MAP, MAF, Lambda Sensor, and maybe rpm and throttle position. Could someone tell us how much weight is put on the Lambda Sensor inputs and how seriously is the car affected if the sensor goes u/s.

Lambda sensor is only used at cruise - can't remember below what MAP though, sorry After that it's largely rpm/MAF based, with a little enrichment adjustment on throttle movement I believe.

So the main indicator of a knackered lambda is pants (or rather more pants ) fuel 'economy'. It can screw up idling as well, but a lot of other things do that to...
