Even my grandmother's 45 bhp Peugeot 205 has quicker steering ratio than my '98 GT Wagon The stock ratio is especially bothersome when I have fun on Norwegian winter roads. How can I get quicker steering? Steering rack from an STI? Please help - I feel like a truck driver!

I believe the only Scoobs to come with a quicker rack were the RA's and the 22b's. Not sure about the Type R's!
Anyone got "you and your Impreza" handy? The stearing rack ratios are in the spec list for each model

Iain.

Hello Haga!
Sellholm Tuning in Köping/Sweden does new ratios on an exchange basis....which basically means you'll have your car off the roads for a few days while they sort yours (as they're constantly out of stock).
I believe they wanted around 7000 sek to sort it.
I'm going for it one day...

Thanks Jerry!
Still expensive though. A have access to AutoCAD/CNC machining, so I'm considering modifying a secondhand steering rack. Worth a try
