I am the proud owner of a MY00 Impreza Turbo that was imported from Australia by the original owner. He said when I bought it that Andy Tang told him the standard bhp was 260, when I was at Power Station the other week they said it was 215bhp the same as UK models. When I went to Power Engineering this afternoon they said 240bhp.
Does anyone know 100% what the output is of a MY00 Impreza WRX??
I have never driven a UK model so I can't compare the two.
Cheers

They Aussie spec MY00 turbos called the WRX over there have exactly the same specs as the UK cars, except, they don't get a bright button, they don't get front headlight switch adjustment, but get an instrument cluster light brightness/dimmer adjuster, they don't get the headlight water squirter and have red inserts on the seats as opposed to our silver, they have red stitching around the Momo steering wheel and gear lever as opposed to our white for the steering wheel and black for the gear lever. They also get child seat anchor bolts on the rear parcel shelf, which is missing on the UK cars. Power wise they are identical.
Cheers,
Wrexy.

In that case Danny's got himself a seriously quick std Scoob!!
Cos this kicked Maffa's 300+bhp my95 at the top end
and kept up with some tuned (mildly) others on the road
Danny, I hope your enjoying it.
Marcis flys home on Wed
I think he'll be in the Subaru showroom by Friday for the STI8!!!
Iain.

That's funny cos when my m8, who tunes scoobs, came to Greece from OZ for a holiday, said that my Euro spec MY00, (when it was stock), felt quicker than all the WRXs he had driven in OZ.

WREXY,
Thanks for the reply, you are spot on with the interior/exterior differences and your info has saved me £50 for a dyno run
Dyney,
I've been in contact with Marcis over the past few weeks and I get the impression it will not be too long before he get's another Impreza (White STi8 if I remember correctly)
The car is going great, hopefully see you at the next Sussex meet.
Dan
